United Kingdom Public sector workers in the United Kingdom are planning to strike on 30 November 2011 to protest government plans to reform workers’ pensions. Organizers expect widespread participation in the labor action, which will affect schools, hospitals, courts and other government offices. Most significantly for travelers, border control officers are expected to join the work stoppage, which could result in major disruptions at airports and other points of entry into the country.
